Gaylord

For our client’s apartment in upmarket South Mumbai we reconfigured the entire floor plan through interior architecture, restructuring the Art-Deco space; gutting walls, repositioning utility spaces such as the kitchen and baths creating an entirely new footprint within the existing shell.

A new passageway created adjacent to the kitchen is treated with beautiful textured terracotta wall plaster wrapping walls creating a backdrop to the living and dining area.

The structural beams and columns softened with beige add character, and original door panels polished with new frosted glass exude original Art-Deco charm.

Custom designed double glazed sliding doors and windows cut out noise with teakwood antique furniture and statement pieces adorning the living space including a quiet corner with a built-in library and writing desk.

Bedrooms have beautifully restored window details and neutral roman blinds with teakwood parquet flooring contrasting the tiled marble flooring. Sourced vintage light fixture illuminate corners creating soothing ambient light.

Rich warm tones of natural stone such as yellow jaisalmer, pure white makrana marble and teakwood cabinetry for the vanity along with polished gold brass tap ware and handles create earthy luxe in the master bathroom with playful niches in the children’s bath and quirky terrazzo in the guest bath adding charm.

A well planned kitchen with frosted glass teakwood panelled shutters and glitter flecked galaxy granite complete the look.
