The Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations, a National Body, SCWO serves to unite the various women’s organisations working in accordance with its various aims and objectives.
As part of the centennial celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD), SCWO along with a plethora of social community groups and volunteers including USA Scout girls and Social Creatives gathered 100 women and girls to paint a mural on the boundary wall of its Centre, located within the Arts and Heritage district of Waterloo Street.
As a resident artist with Social Creatives, a non-profit enterprise nurturing community art through youth development we created the mural themed “Celebration of Womanhood” embodying womanhood, expressing the multidimensional multifaceted modern woman of today as she embraces her future optimistically, marching ahead stridently with her fellow women achievers from different disciplines of Arts, Sports, Business and Community collectively.
Supporting and encouraging each other to express, assert and participate positively is building a better and positive society.
