Mega Maker Lab held in August 2019 was London’s biggest and best experience dedicated to the imagination. Across creative experience zones, families built and enjoyed time together.
Matt and Fiona, the creative collaborators with the Institute of Imagination, needed volunteers for the build at The Workshop, Lambeth based on ideas conceived by school children at the design workshops conducted by them earlier.
The build was to prepare the space for various tasks and challenges in the creative zones within the space.
We collaborated with a team of volunteers from various design disciplines to help construct ramps, create cloth dividers or curtains for aerial elements suspended by pulleys allowing children to navigate and change the atmosphere of different parts of the Lab.
We also helped set up the loops in modules on the aerial elements and facilitated children in sessions who participated to set up the build before the event.
